4.1 What a Resolution Is

A Resolution is what happens when Better Pixel successfully identifies an anonymous visitor to your website.

When someone lands on a page where your pixel is installed, the pixel fires. If that visitor can be matched against the database, they become a Resolution — a full contact record that appears in your dashboard. One credit is used. One record is created.

Not every visitor becomes a Resolution. The pixel resolves a share of your traffic. The rest remain anonymous. This is normal and expected — never assume a 1:1 match between your site visits and your Resolution count.

A Resolution is not a lead you built from a filter. It is a visitor who was already on your site, identified after the fact. That’s the distinction between Better Pixel and Better Leads — Pixel tells you who came to you. Leads helps you go find people.
