Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find my pixel script?
In your dashboard under Integrations → Pixel. Select the pixel for your domain and copy the script from there.
Where on my website does the script go?
Inside the <head> tag of your website — before the closing </head> tag. It should be installed on every page, not just the homepage.
Does my site need to meet any requirements for the pixel to work?
Yes. Your site needs to run on https and the script must be installed on the root domain. Subdomains are not supported.
Can I install the pixel through Google Tag Manager?
Yes. Create a Custom HTML tag, paste the pixel script, set the trigger to All Pages, and publish.
How do I know the pixel is working?
After installing and publishing, visit your website to trigger the pixel. Return to the Pixel section in your dashboard and check the status indicator. It should show as active.
How many pixels can I have?
5. One per website domain. This number is fixed and does not change with your Pixel Credits tier.
Can I add more than 5 pixels?
No. 5 is the account maximum. To track a new domain once all slots are filled, you’ll need to delete an existing pixel first.
What happens if I delete a pixel?
The pixel slot is freed up for a new domain. Deletion is permanent — export any resolution data from that pixel before deleting if you need to keep it.
Can the same pixel script be used on multiple domains?
No. Each pixel script is tied to the domain it was created for. Installing one script across multiple domains will not work correctly — create a separate pixel for each domain.
My pixel shows as inactive after install. What should I do?
Check that the script was saved and published on your site, that it’s placed inside the <head> tag, and that your site is on https. Visit your site in a browser to trigger the pixel, then refresh your dashboard. If it still shows inactive, contact BetterMarketers support at https://help.bettermarketers.com/support/tickets/new
