3.1 What the Pixel Script Does

The pixel is a small piece of JavaScript code you add to your website. Once it’s in place, it runs quietly in the background on every page load — no interaction from your visitors required.

When a visitor lands on your site, the pixel fires and attempts to match that visitor against Better Pixel’s database. If a match is found, that visitor becomes a Resolution: a full contact record with personal, professional, and behavioral data attached.

A few things the pixel does not do:

  • It does not collect form submissions or require any visitor action.

  • It does not slow your website down in any meaningful way.

  • It does not identify every visitor. It resolves a share of your traffic.

One pixel covers one domain. If you have multiple websites, each needs its own pixel script. Your account supports up to 5 pixels — one per domain.
