3.7 Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Audience List?
An audience list is a filtered set of verified people — businesses, decision-makers, or individual consumers — that matches the criteria you set. You build it using intent, demographic, firmographic, housing, location, and contact filters, then pull leads from it using your credits.
What are the three ways to build an audience?
Pre-made (ready-built for common niches), Keyword (you define the intent topics), and Custom (AI model built around a precise niche).
Can I build both B2B and B2C audiences?
Yes. Better Leads supports both. Build a separate audience list for each — B2B and B2C use different filter sets.
What filters are available?
Nine categories: Intent, Business/Firmographic, Financial, Demographic, Family & Household, Housing, Location, Contact, and Date.
What do the intent levels mean?
Low intent is early research, medium is active comparison, and high is close to a decision. Match your outreach type to the intent level for best results.
Does previewing an audience use my credits?
No. Previewing is free. Credits are used only when you pull leads.
Why are contact details masked in the preview?
This is by design. Full verified contact data is revealed when you pull leads using credits, not in the preview.
My audience preview is returning zero results. What should I do?
Your filters are likely too narrow. Relax one or more — broaden the location, remove a filter, or widen the intent level — and preview again.
Can I get residential mailing addresses for direct mail?
Yes. Consumer audiences can include residential mailing addresses. Apply the Housing and Location filters and include mailing addresses in the Contact filter.
How current is the data in my audience?
Audience lists refresh automatically every 24 hours. Emails are verified daily, addresses are updated against the national change-of-address database quarterly, and behavioral signals are reprocessed weekly.
How many leads can I build into one audience?
[Placeholder: confirm whether there is an audience size limit per list]
Can I build multiple audience lists?
Yes. You can create and manage multiple audience lists. Each list has its own filters and can be refreshed, updated, or exported independently.
What happens after I pull leads from an audience?
Your leads are ready to export or sync. See Section 5 for export options and Section 6 for syncing to Google Sheets or Facebook Ads.
Can I reuse an audience list to pull more leads later?
Yes. Use the Refresh action to pull new leads with the same filters, or the Update action to change the filters first. See Section 4 for detail on managing your lists.
Who do I contact if my audience results don't look right?
Contact BetterMarketers support. Do not reach out to the platform vendor directly — all support goes through BetterMarketers.
