By the end of this guide, you'll be able to text a task to your desktop Claude CoWork session from your phone (Dispatch), and pick up a live Claude Code session from your phone too (Remote Control).

Who This Is For

• You want to kick off a task from your phone and have it run on your desktop.

• You're away from your desk but need work done on your computer.

• You're a developer who wants to check on a running Claude Code session from your phone.

• You want the "Claude thinks, CoWork does, Code builds" model working across your devices.

• You've heard about phone-to-desktop control and want to actually set it up.

An honest caveat before you start: your computer must stay awake with the app open for these to work. This is remote-controlling your own machine, not tasks running in the cloud independent of your desktop.

What You'll Build

Two separate but related capabilities:

• Claude Dispatch (CoWork): Text a task from your phone, have it execute on your desktop, and get notified when it's done.

• Claude Code Remote Control: Start a coding session at your desk, then continue or check on it from your phone or another browser.

What You'll Need

• The latest Claude Desktop app.

• The latest Claude mobile app (iOS or Android).

• Your desktop computer awake with the Claude app open.

• For Remote Control, an active Claude Code session.

I'm sending this task from my phone to run on my desktop Claude session while I'm away from my computer.
