What it does

One shared contact record across marketing, sales, and service

HubSpot is a customer platform built around one shared contact record, with separate Hubs for marketing, sales, service, and content that all read and write to that same record. A small team can run email campaigns, track deals, and log support tickets without stitching together three tools.

The free CRM is the on-ramp: contact records, deal pipelines, basic email sending, and simple automation are usable indefinitely at no cost. The paid Hubs unlock more contacts, more automation actions, custom reporting, and governance features like permissions and revenue attribution.

Pricing on the marketing side is contact-based rather than purely per-seat, so the bill grows with your list size regardless of how many people are actually using the tool.
