9.1 What Better Pixel Is and Is Not Responsible For

Better Pixel gives you data. What you do with that data is your responsibility.

This is not a legal disclaimer written to protect anyone — it is a practical statement about how the product works and what it cannot do for you. Understanding the line between what Better Pixel provides and what you are responsible for will save you from compliance problems before they happen.

What Better Pixel provides:

  • Resolution data drawn from a database of verified U.S. consumer and business profiles

  • DNC status flags on phone numbers so you can see which numbers appear on Do Not Call lists

  • Data covering U.S.-based individuals only

What Better Pixel does not provide:

  • Proof that a resolved contact has opted in to receive communications from you

  • A guarantee that using resolution data complies with any specific law or regulation

  • Legal advice on how to use the data

  • Compliance with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, or any other regulation on your behalf

What that means in practice:
The fact that a visitor came to your website and was resolved into a contact record does not give you legal permission to email them, call them, or text them. Depending on your outreach channel, your industry, and the states your contacts are in, different regulations apply — and they apply to you, not to Better Pixel.

Before you use resolution data for any outreach, understand the rules that govern your specific channel and audience. If you are unsure, consult a legal professional.

BetterMarketers does not provide legal or compliance advice. The guidance in this section is informational only. Responsibility for lawful use of resolution data rests entirely with you.
