5.2 Setting Up a Webhook

A webhook is the most reliable way to capture your resolution data long term. Instead of manually downloading a CSV, a webhook pushes each new resolution to a destination of your choice — automatically, as it happens.

Every time the pixel resolves a visitor, the webhook fires and sends that record in real time. Nothing gets missed. Nothing rolls off a 30-day window before you’ve saved it.

What you can do with a webhook:

  • Send resolutions directly into a CRM

  • Trigger automated follow-up sequences

  • Push data into Make.com, Zapier, or any HTTP-based automation

  • Build your own data pipeline with a custom endpoint

To set up a webhook:

  1. Log in at https://leads.bettermarketers.com/

  2. In the left-hand menu under Integrations, click Pixel.

  3. Select the pixel you want to connect a webhook to.

  4. Find the Webhook option for that pixel.

  5. Enter your destination URL — this is the endpoint that will receive the resolution data.

  6. Save your webhook settings.

  7. Trigger a test visit on your website to confirm the webhook is firing correctly.

Testing your webhook:
After saving, visit the website where the pixel is installed. A new resolution (if one is generated) should be sent to your endpoint within minutes. Use a tool like webhook.site to inspect incoming payloads during testing before connecting your live destination.

Webhook data format:
The payload sent to your endpoint will contain the same fields as a resolution record. See Section 4.2 for the full field list.

If long-term data retention is important to your workflow, set up a webhook before your pixel goes live. It captures every resolution from day one rather than requiring you to go back and recover data from CSV exports.
