Go Viral on LinkedIn Without Writing a Post — Automate Your Entire LinkedIn Content System With ChatGPT and Make.com

Go Viral on LinkedIn Without Writing a Single Post! ChatGPT Automation Explained

By the end of this guide, you'll have a three-tool system — Google Sheets + ChatGPT + Make.com — that turns a single content idea into a written LinkedIn post with a matching image, ready to publish with one dropdown change. Your only job is the idea and the approval.

Who This Is For

• You have ideas for LinkedIn posts, but they never make it out of your notes app because writing takes too long.

• You've been meaning to post more on LinkedIn for months, but it still isn't happening consistently.

• You're posting manually and getting results, but you want to reclaim the 2 to 3 hours each week you spend writing and scheduling.

• You manage LinkedIn for clients and need a system that produces consistent content without constant involvement.

• You want to build a LinkedIn presence around your expertise without making content creation your full-time job.

What You'll Build

A three-tool automated LinkedIn content system:

  1. Google Sheets - Your content control panel where you add ideas, review AI-generated posts, and approve posts using a dropdown.

  2. Make.com - The automation engine that watches your Google Sheet, triggers ChatGPT, generates images, and publishes to LinkedIn.

  3. ChatGPT API - The content writer that generates LinkedIn-native posts in your brand voice, complete with matching DALL·E images.

One idea in the sheet. One dropdown change. Post live on LinkedIn.

What You'll Need

• Google account (for Google Sheets) - Free.

• Make.com account - Free tier available.

• OpenAI API account (separate from your ChatGPT subscription).

• A LinkedIn personal profile or Company Page.

• 60 to 90 minutes for the initial setup.

Going Further

• Schedule posts at optimal times instead of publishing immediately - Rather than publishing as soon as you approve a post, add a Make.com Date & Time module between the approval trigger and the LinkedIn publishing module. Schedule each post to go live between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM in your audience's time zone. Approving five posts on Sunday can automatically queue content for Monday through Friday with no further action required.

• Add a Perplexity research step before ChatGPT writes - Insert an HTTP module between the Google Sheets trigger and the ChatGPT module to call the Perplexity API using your content idea as the query. Pass the research results into the ChatGPT prompt as additional context. Posts backed by current information and real examples often perform better than posts generated from the idea alone.

• Build a repurposing branch - After the LinkedIn post is generated and approved, create a second Make.com route that sends the same content to ChatGPT with the instruction: "Rewrite this LinkedIn post as a six-tweet thread, an Instagram caption, and a short email newsletter section." Each version can then be published automatically to its respective platform, allowing one approved idea to become four pieces of platform-specific content.
