1.4 Setting Up and Managing Your Wallet

Your wallet is the prepaid balance inside your Better Mailers account. Every postcard, card, and gift you send is paid for from this balance — including postage.

How the wallet works

When you place an order, the cost is deducted from your wallet balance. If your balance runs low, the system automatically recharges it to the amount you set during registration. Funds are typically available within 10 minutes of a recharge.

Example: If your auto-recharge is set to 100andyourbalancedropsto-20 after an order, the system charges your card $120 to bring your balance back to $100.

Important: Wallet funds expire

Unused wallet funds expire 12 months after the date of purchase. Use your balance before it expires — expired funds are not refunded.

Updating your wallet or billing settings

To change your auto-recharge amount or update your credit card:
Go to Settings → Billing inside your account.

If a recharge fails

If your card on file is declined, your orders will go on hold. Update your card at Settings → Billing. Once a valid card is on file, your wallet will recharge and any held orders will release automatically.
