Hectic

What it does

Hectic (marketed as a "freelancer OS") handles client management, project management, time tracking, invoicing, and contracts for independent freelancers. It's built to replace a stack of disconnected free tools (spreadsheets, a separate invoicing app, a separate scheduler) with one dashboard. It offers a genuine free tier for core features, with paid plans starting around $11.99/month and typical annual-billing discounts.
